  26. I ran into the same problem in upgrading my A3000 to 3.1.  The problem is with
  27. the .prefs files in your SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive/Sys directory.  They didn't get
  28. updated when you upgraded to 3.1, and they are not compatible with 3.1.  You
  29. need to delete them (after writing down the settings of course) and then use
  30. the tools in your Prefs directory to recreate them.  The file that is causing
  31. the particular problem with the mouse pointer is 'palette.prefs'.  My mouse
  32. pointer cleared up just after deleting this file.
