- I ran into the same problem in upgrading my A3000 to 3.1. The problem is with
- the .prefs files in your SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive/Sys directory. They didn't get
- updated when you upgraded to 3.1, and they are not compatible with 3.1. You
- need to delete them (after writing down the settings of course) and then use
- the tools in your Prefs directory to recreate them. The file that is causing
- the particular problem with the mouse pointer is 'palette.prefs'. My mouse
- pointer cleared up just after deleting this file.
